Frequently asked questions

Meg Fox Aesthetics Logo- Gold Fox What if I've had recent bloodwork done?

If you’ve had recent blood work within the last three months, we may be able to use it during your BHRT consultation. Because our approach is highly personalized, standard labs sometimes miss key hormone markers. If needed, we’ll order additional testing to ensure we have a complete picture—allowing us to treat to optimal levels, not just “normal” ranges.

Meg Fox Aesthetics Logo- Gold Fox Does insurance cover this?

Insurance doesn’t typically cover preventative or optimization-based care like Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). At Meg Fox Aesthetics, we focus on helping you feel your best—not just meeting “normal” lab ranges. Because many bioidentical and compounded therapies aren’t mass-produced medications, they fall outside insurance coverage, allowing us to personalize your treatment safely and effectively.

Meg Fox Aesthetics Logo- Gold Fox How do I know if I need BHRT?

If you’re noticing changes like fatigue, brain fog, weight gain, disrupted sleep, mood shifts, or low libido, your hormones may be out of balance. At Meg Fox Aesthetics, we take a comprehensive, personalized approach—looking at both your lab results and how you feel to determine whether Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) is the right fit for you.

We also schedule free discovery calls to ensure this program is a best fit before your consult. To book- click here

Meg Fox Aesthetics Logo- Gold Fox How quickly will I see the results from BHRT?

Most patients start to notice improvements within a few weeks, with benefits building over 3–6 months and full results often taking up to a year as the body reaches balance. Consistency is key—we adjust and fine-tune along the way to ensure your plan is working effectively. This is why our program spans one full year before transitioning into maintenance—because lasting, optimized results take time.

Meg Fox Aesthetics Logo- Gold Fox Is BHRT Safe?

Yes — when prescribed and monitored appropriately, BHRT is both safe and highly beneficial. Much of the confusion around hormone therapy comes from the outdated Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) study, which used synthetic—not bioidentical—hormones and has since been debunked.

Current research shows that properly dosed bioidentical hormones can actually help protect against bone loss, cardiovascular disease, cognitive decline, and certain cancers by restoring balance and supporting long-term wellness.

At Meg Fox Aesthetics, we follow the latest evidence-based protocols to optimize your hormones safely and effectively—with a focus on longevity, vitality, and quality of life.

Meg Fox Aesthetics Logo- Gold Fox Do I have to be in Menopause to start BHRT?

No! Many patients begin Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) in their late 30s or early 40s, during perimenopause—when hormone levels start to shift but periods are still present. Starting therapy earlier can help ease the transition, prevent severe symptoms, and support bone, brain, and metabolic health long-term.

Patient Testimonial

"Immense relief to hear and see that Kathy has modern training, empathy, and the office has technical support through the portal that will help me deal with my long term menopausal symptoms. She was patient with my pentup “backlog” of negative treatment experiences. Very knowledgeable and kind. Much appreciated! I feel like an example of the Before Treatment and hope to regain my sleep, health, and some zest for living so I can have improved quality of life After Treatment."
