Frequently asked questions
What are peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids—the building blocks of proteins—that act as messengers in the body. They can signal your cells to repair, regenerate, build muscle, burn fat, improve sleep, and support hormonal balance.
What can peptides help with?
- Weight loss and metabolic function
- Muscle tone and fat reduction
- Improved sleep quality
- Increased energy and stamina
- Skin rejuvenation and collagen production
- Immune support
- Recovery after exercise or injury
Are peptides safe?
Yes. When prescribed by a licensed medical provider and sourced from reputable compounding pharmacies, peptides are considered safe and well-tolerated. Many peptides are considered "off label" and before use your provider will council you on the risks, benefits and alternatives to treatment with peptide therapy.
How are peptides administered?
Peptides are available in both injectable and oral forms.
Do peptides work like weight loss drugs?
Not exactly. GLP-1 medications are technically peptides, but most “peptide therapy” refers to regenerative peptides that improve cellular signaling. They can be used alone or to enhance GLP-1 results (better metabolism, muscle retention, sleep, recovery.)
Who should avoid peptides?
Peptides may not be recommended if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant in the next 6 months
- Have active cancer
- Have uncontrolled autoimmune disease
- Have severe cardiovascular disease
- Have glaucoma
- Are allergic to any of the ingredients
Your provider will review your medical history to ensure safety.

Patient Testimonial
"Immense relief to hear and see that Kathy has modern training, empathy, and the office has technical support through the portal that will help me deal with my long term menopausal symptoms. She was patient with my pentup “backlog” of negative treatment experiences. Very knowledgeable and kind. Much appreciated! I feel like an example of the Before Treatment and hope to regain my sleep, health, and some zest for living so I can have improved quality of life After Treatment."
